A European network of Trusted Research Environments to support sensitive data management

The first EOSC-ENTRUST Policy Brief highlights the need for European investment in Trusted Research Environments (TREs) to enable secure and ethical cross-border research using sensitive data. It outlines five key recommendations for policymakers and funders, focusing on infrastructure investment, interoperability, international standards, community building and public engagement to ensure a coordinated and effective TRE network.

Federated governance for Europe’s network of trusted research environments

The second EOSC-ENTURST Policy Brief highlights the federation and governance approaches needed to create a trustworthy research infrastructure on top of the interoperable network of Trusted Research Environments. It outlines four key recommendations for policymakers and funders, including a federated approach, governance model, training and compute infrastructure investments.
